Biographie
Barbara Joan Streisand, dite Barbra Streisand, née le 24 avril 1942 à Brooklyn, New York, est une chanteuse, actrice, réalisatrice et productrice américaine. Elle a remporté deux Oscars, huit Grammy Awards, cinq Emmy Awards dont un Daytime Emmy, un Tony Award d'honneur, l'American Film Institute Award, le Kennedy Center Honors Award, un Peabody Award4, et est l'une des rares artistes à avoir remporté un Oscar, un Emmy, un Grammy et un Tony. Elle est également officier de la Légion d'honneur. Elle est l'une des artistes ayant vendu le plus de disques, avec plus de 71,5 millions d'albums vendus aux États-Unis et plus de 140 millions d'albums vendus dans le monde entier. Elle est l'artiste féminine la mieux classée sur la Recording Industry Association of America's (RIAA) Top Selling Artists List, ainsi que la seule femme classée parmi les dix premiers. Avec Frank Sinatra, Cher, et Shirley Jones, elle est la seule artiste à avoir remporté un Oscar du meilleur acteur et à avoir au moins un album numéro 1 au classement Billboard Hot 100. Selon la RIAA, Streisand détient le record du nombre d'albums ayant été dans le top dix – un total de 31 depuis 1963.
