Il a fondé le groupe de heavy metal White Zombie et a été nominé trois fois en tant qu'artiste solo pour le Grammy Award de la meilleure performance métal. Zombie a également établi une carrière réussie en tant que réalisateur de films, créant les films House of 1000 Corpses, The Devil's Rejects, le remake de 2007 d'Halloween, sa suite, et The Haunted World of El Superbeasto. Son prochain film sera le prochain Les Seigneurs de Salem.
