James Edward Carter est un acteur anglais. Il est surtout connu pour son rôle dans Downton Abbey (2010-2015) dans le rôle de M. Carson, un rôle qui lui a valu quatre nominations pour le Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series (2012-2015).
