Biographie
Jeremy Charles Robert Clarkson (né le 11 avril 1960) est un animateur, journaliste et écrivain anglais spécialisé dans l'automobile. Il est surtout connu pour son rôle dans l'émission télévisée Top Gear de la BBC, aux côtés de Richard Hammond et James May. Il écrit également des chroniques hebdomadaires pour le Sunday Times et le Sun. Après une carrière de journaliste local dans le nord de l'Angleterre, Clarkson s'est fait connaître du grand public en tant que présentateur du format original de Top Gear en 1988. Depuis le milieu des années 1990, Clarkson est devenu une personnalité publique reconnue, apparaissant régulièrement à la télévision britannique en présentant ses propres émissions et en étant invité dans d'autres émissions. Outre l'automobile, Clarkson a produit des programmes et des livres sur des sujets tels que l'histoire et l'ingénierie. De 1998 à 2000, il a également animé son propre talk-show, Clarkson. Son style d'écriture et de présentation, à la fois opiniâtre et humoristique, a souvent suscité de nombreuses réactions de la part du public à l'égard de ses points de vue.
