Biographie
Underwood est née au Centre médical régional de Muskogee et a grandi dans la ferme de ses parents dans la région rurale de Checotah . Elle est la plus jeune des trois filles du père Stephen et de la mère Carole Underwood. Ses soeurs, Shanna Underwood Means et Stephanie Underwood Shelton sont nées en 1973 et 1970. Underwood a percé quand elle a gagné la quatrième édition d' American Idol en 2005 . Son premier album, Some Hearts , a remporté sept fois le disque de platine aux États-Unis et a été l'album country le plus vendu depuis l' introduction du Nielsen SoundScan en 1991 . Underwood est le premier American Idolgagnant qui a gagné des prix aux grands prix. Elle a reçu un American Music Award , un Billboard Music Award et un Grammy Award . En 2009, elle a été enregistrée au Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame .
